The strange musicblog with a lot of digressions
At first: Excuse me if my english isn’t that well. I have not been practicing it to much, the last decades, and when I do, it is speaking with foreign parents, at my job as a preeschool teacher.
More about me: 5 kids, grandmother, partner ( with a sound engineer, and that is the reason I got time for a blog) .
Why this blog?
I’ve been thinking of a blog for a long time, and was wondering how I could blog serious about gardening, and the music I like at the same time, but recalled it as mission impossible. I started a garden blog in Norwegian, but still couldn’t let my idea go.
I think there is a lack of blogs with the combination of metal, other kinds of music, and other things that middle aged grandmothers likes. Since I grew up with a lot of hairbands, trash and other kinds of metal, I assume there are more of us, even if we don’t look like headbangers anymore.
And before you leave, thinking this is going to be all about old hair bands, I will tell you that some grandmothers listens to Norwegian Black Metal , and other metal too. I am in the same age as most of the musicians that where some kind of pioneers in that field, back in those days..and I will later on tell you about how I looked at the incidents that took place in 1992-1994, - which also was the years I gave birth to my two first kids.
The name of the blog is inspirated of Satyricons « Mother North»
And If you have been reading this far, and is thinking « oh no, is she a corpsepainted being, that will just post noisy music about death, terror, and satan? » - I will tell you, that there probably will be some nice pictures of nature, a bit about home made soap, gardening and other stuff that any serious blogger, would have stayed away from.
In the following video, you will se a great artist and an ikon, who nearly raised me as a rather unsecure teenager. He has been following me the whole time in to adulthood as one of the worlds most incredible singers. It is a shame that I never been to any of his concerts.
