There are actually a lot of good bands and musicians, calling for your attention, on instagram. ( Kalevala)

You know when someone are liking your pictures or starts following you on instagram, and you find them to be a band or some musicians, wanting to promote themselves? Please listen to some of them, good music could be discovered!

Since I got my Instagram account earlier this year, I have discovered some musicians that suits me  well, this way.  I wouldn’t have heard any of this music, if they didn’t like one of my pictures or pushed the follow button.

Now I want to share the ones I actually want to listen to, in some of my posts


When that is said: If I dont share some band clicking on me at instagram, it  doesn’t meen they aren’t worth listening to for you. There is a lot of music, I dont find appealing, even if they have millions of fans out there, even in the genres I usually like  ( That is the reason you probably won’t find me sharing music of Sabaton, Powerwolf or a lot of other bands - I dont think they are bad, just boring, and I would probably rather share a band where the musicians just could play, 3 chords, but does it with a convincing attitude.

Here is Kalevala, folk metal band from our neighbour in the east - Russia, inspired by things like the Kalevala lyrics from Finland ( the singers parents are from Finland) russian and sami culture.
They stod a bit out from the crowd of folk metal bands, - maybe because of a bit more rock’n roll feeling, great riffs or the fact that they also has other more atmospherical songs, than the regular « party and drinking songs» that are so common in folk metal.

But, I like a good party, and I would absolutely like to attend the following, even if I dont understand much of the language.
