Woman chased by zombies
( A very late posting, I’ve been busy and suddenly we went into 2020. This post was originally ment to be posted in the autumn 2019 🤔)
Now it’s been more than three months since my last posting, in the meanwhile I have been enjoying the arctic summer to the fullest, but now this pleasure is pit to an end, - this morning a little layer of snow was covering the mountains, as well as our car.
Don't get me wrong, I really like the autumn, and changes in nature, but I am pretty done with no sun and the lack of light, after Jul ( or Christmas, if you like) .
A nice thing about our short summers, is that we have daylight for 24 hours, which makes me spend a whole lot of time outdoors, doing some gardening, enjoying bonfires and atbletic stunts in the late hours.
My so called athletic stunts happened, when I decided to get in better shape and bought myself a sportswatch. I really prefer rollerblading instead of jogging, but since the roads here are not that good, I decided to work out intervals with fast walking and fast running. I really love walking and running with some good music on the headphones and some time on my own. My oxygen uptake increased very quickly and in a couple of weeks my fitness age had improved from 45 to 20 years of age, according to my sports watch.
Somewhere in the middle of this two weeks, I found this app:
....and started to use it.
Now I can tell you that you probably wont run into these zombies arms if you take a turn, and you dont have to continue your run in the same direction to avoid them, especially if the same direction means that you will be chased by zombies a few houndred meters on a rocky beach.
I also have learned this:
- even if you used to run orienteering in different terrain, , this doesn’t prevent you from falling in rocky areas, 30 years later.
- a bruised knee needs rest. Sometimes for weeks, with no zombie runs.
- Physiotherapists are nice people, even to grannies who tells them that a bad knee is caused by being chased of zombies.
...and then I told him about the Zombies, Run! app. Afterward, I thougt he night have got the impression that I was some kind of hyperactive actionseeker, because I told him I used to train Tae kwon do and rollerblading, in the past. 😅
As you may have got some clue of, I suddenly found myself lying between some rocks, with all my air knocked out, wondering if I had to call my spouse and tell him to carry me home. - After a few minutes I discovered, that even if I had some scratches, I could raise my aching body and walk home.
My better half has been working at arrangements and festivals, for example the Riddu Riddu - an annual sami/ worldwide indigenous festival in Kåfjord, like he has done for the last years.
