I have been making plans...

Snowflakes over the mountainside and our old barn, wich I have a lot of projects with, as soon as the winter loosens its frozen grip.

As you see, we have this old barn, that used to be the home of some sheeps, more than 40 years ago. Before that, it also was the home of other animals, like a couple of horses and cows.

It is full of old farming equipment, building materials, and a whole lot of mess, not to forget about 40 year old hay and sheep dung. - And did i mention it is in need of some maintenance?

We had a loose plan about winning a big price in lotteri and perhaps making a sound studio and an apartment in one part of it, and a stable in the other - but in the meanwhile, we just settle with spending a lot of work, some new materials, painting, a carpenter and some concrete on it,  to make a nice living for a couple of horses, and to keep it from falling over our heads in a couple of years.

One morning I woke up, and decided it was time to do something with my old, but still very much alive,  horse dream, so now I have 18 months left to do the work and save the money I need for this project.

The «to do list» is as long as a bad year, and contains activities with chainsaw, fencing,  a lot of  wheelbarrow exercise, chalking, tidying up ..and so it goes....

I actually want to make a « skigard» which is a traditionally type of fence, because we have some wood that is quite perfect, so it would save us some money, and I’d like to learn how to.

Here comes an instructional video in Norwegian.

And some suitable music for this, would perhaps be Darkthrones « Snø og granskog» ( Snow and spruce forest) from the album Panzerfaust, after a poem of the Norwegian poet Tarjei Vesaas:
